heather cassils: lady gaga's prison yard girlfriend

The performance artist and personal trainer chats about making out with the most famous woman in the world.

i agree with a lot of what she says here. people worry so much about labels but it’s not all black & white, this or that. do what you feel, wear what you feel, say what you feel. you don’t owe anyone explanations. they don’t need to get you as long as YOU get you.

& i like that the interviewer addressed the fact that lady gaga didn’t make a big deal about the “intersex” rumors. i’ve always thought about that & how refreshing it is that she knew it wasn’t worth addressing. this also goes along with how i don’t really agree with the whole “coming out” idea. i understand that some people feel the need to express their feelings & let people know, but in my opinion no one is owed an explanation. it seems like it creates a divide. i mean normally straight people don’t come out, right? they just come home & say hey, i got a ___friend. it should be the same for everyone. which is how i treated my relationship. i just don’t see it as a thing where you sit everyone down in the living & stand up & make an announcement. i mean, clay was dogged for years about whether he was gay or not, like it even mattered & was relevant. & everyone acted like they knew & could tell by his behavior (which i also think is disgusting). some fans acted like he had lied & was betraying us & they were disappointed. but frankly, i’m grateful he even chose to let us into that part of his life & give us that information. because we don’t deserve it & we sure as hell aren’t ENTITLED to it. everyone who thinks they’re entitled to know what you do in the bedroom can just suck it. i don’t mind telling people that i’m not necessarily straight, but they always ask what my preference is. & i simply say i don’t have a label & whatever i feel, i feel.

wow. i only meant to write like…ONE paragraph. hah. sorry about that. done now.
